GEM Enhancements

GEM enhancements are available

Summary 

Following up on the "Process Simplification Workshop" held last Spring, we are pleased to inform you that a number of enhancements to the GEM system have been implemented.

Also kindly note these changes are effective only for newly created events.  Some of the features might not work for already existing events.

Simplified event creation

The event creation has been simplified with few fields to enter and many of them are automatically selected. To learn more in detail about these changes click here. (PDF, 352KB)

Flexible Billing

Earlier, GEM system  allowed  only the target sites to bill the clients. But now, the system has been modified to be flexible enough for the clients to bill the target sites too. 

Agreements and invoicing

Earlier, GEM system required agreements to be signed  in order to create invoices. But now , agreements are not mandatory as long as invoicing is not done through the GDLN accountant.  Please note that you would still need an agreement  for your event if the invoice is processed through GDLN accountant.

Clients need not be registered in GEM system

As a GDLN affiliate, while creating a new event,  you can just enter your client information and they need not be registered in system anymore .  When creating an event proposal just type their name and contact information.
